The Democratic and Republican parties have filed ethics complaints against two Republican lawmakers, accusing them of leaving a committee meeting to have drinks and possibly being intoxicated. The DFL has also filed a complaint against Republican Rep. Alex Falconer, accusing him of having a conflict of interest for carrying legislation to protect the Boundary Waters Canoe Area while simultaneously working as a paid lobbyist. The legislation also includes a bill that would allow multiple schools to pilot a new AI surveillance program to detect potential weapons threats on campus.
