The Ohio Department of Children and Youth has released a list of 21 employers who are participating in a program that requires them to contribute 40% of their employees' child care costs. The Child Care Credit Program, created in the two-year state budget passed in June 2025, has 144 children. The state will cover the remaining 20% of the cost. The enrollment figures were announced at the Ohio Chamber of Commerce's 2026 Ohio Child Care Policy Summit. The program has been in effect for nine months and is funded by a federal Preschool Development Grant.
