British teenager Orla Wates, known as "beautiful, independent and very funny", has died in a road accident in Vietnam. Local media reported that she fell from the back of a motorcycle while on a gap year before starting a degree at Durham University. Her injuries were treated at Hanoi's Viet Duc Friendship Hospital and she died on 2 April. Her family donated her organs to the hospital to help others. The organ donations have been made to five critically ill Vietnamese patients.
