Six men, including a Pakistani used car dealer, have been arrested for allegedly smuggling approximately 270 kilograms of methamphetamine with a street value of 14.3 billion yen. The men, who are believed to have concealed the drug in a cargo ship container in the United Arab Emirates and imported it via Singapore, are accused of hiding it in 18 out of 742 bags falsely labeled as "talc powder". The cargo was discovered after an inspection by Tokyo Customs officials after an unattended cargo was filed. The suspects, including Bhat Shafqat Mushtaq, face charges of violating the Stimulants Control Law by importing illegal drugs for commercial profit.
