Nebraska has become the latest state to sue Roblox, alleging that the gaming platform exploits children and misrepresents its safety practices. The complaint accuses the company of allowing direct contact between minors and adult predators, leading to sexually explicit, violent and otherwise inappropriate content. The lawsuit, filed by Attorney General Mike Hilgers, alleges that sexual predators have used Robolox to groom and sexually assault children. Since its launch in 2006, RoblX has become a sprawling social gaming ecosystem with over 151 million daily active users and described itself as the largest dedicated gaming platform for users aged 13 and under. The company has responded to the allegations by stating that it is built with safety at its core and works closely with law enforcement to hold bad actors accountable.
