P., who sustained third-degree burns over 90% of his body, has undergone several life-saving procedures since the incident, including removal of damaged tissue and emergency surgery to relieve internal pressure caused by fluid build-up in his abdomen. Police have ruled the fire accidental. The funds raised through the appeal will be used for physical therapy, specialized wound care, long-term rehabilitation, and basic living expenses.
