Russia's Gazprom says 2025 net income up 7% on stronger rouble

Russia's largest company, Gazprom, has reported a 7% increase in net income for 2025, largely due to a stronger rouble. The company's core profit, or earnings before interest, taxes, decreased by 6% year-on-year to almost 3 trillion roubles. This has been attributed to the fallout from Russia's relationship with the West and the closure of its Ukrainian transit route. The only remaining pipeline export route is the TurkStream.
