Burgeoning Las Vegas business expands, eyes rise in slot manufacturer ranks

Las Vegas-based Gaming Arts, acquired by German-based Merkur Gaming in September 2025, has opened a new manufacturing facility called The Forge. The facility is 23,000 square feet, which almost doubles its 8,000-square-foot headquarters in Las Vegas. The company's CEO, Rob Ziems, said he is looking forward to the future of the slot manufacturing industry, aiming to reach the bottom of the lower tier within five to five years. Gaming Arts' goal is to break into the middle tier of the industry and become major manufacturers.
