Amazon CEO, Andy Jassy, has stated that the company's massive investment in artificial intelligence is not to worry but to be rewarded over time. The company plans to invest $200 billion this year in capital expenditures, largely tied to AI infrastructure, despite being projected to have negative free cash flow in 2026. Jassy argues that the scale of the spending reflects the size of the opportunity given to the company. He also highlighted the growth of Amazon Web Services, which is expected to generate total revenue of roughly $166 billion in 2020.
