Utah State advanced to the semifinals of the Mountain West Conference after defeating UNLV 80-60. The Aggies had previously lost 92-65 on the same Las Vegas floor. This victory avenged their previous defeat at the Thomas & Mack Center and an 86-76 loss to UNLV on Jan. 20. Utah State's junior guard Mason Falslev led the scoring with 17 points and 20 points. The win moves Utah State into a semifinal match with Nevada, a longtime rival from the Silver State. The team's fans were a significant advantage, as they traveled 500 miles from Logan. The championship game will begin at 4 p.m. MT Saturday.
