'An incredible privilege and responsibility': Artemis 2's Christina Koch is ready to become the 1st woman to fly around the moon

Christina Koch, one of the four astronauts on Artemis 2, is set to become the first woman to fly around the moon. The mission will take place no earlier than April 1 and will make her the first female to do so beyond (LEO). Her crewmates include NASA commander, NASA pilot, and mission specialist, respectively. If successful, they will spend 10 days in space and perform a trans-lunar injection maneuver to slingshot around the and back. The Artemis 2 mission is designed to help establish the foundation for a crewed moon landing on the island of 2028.
