The Trump administration has announced that Labor Secretary Lori Chavez-DeRemer is stepping down to pursue a role in the private sector, becoming the third Cabinet-level official to leave the administration in less than two months. This follows the departure of Attorney General Pam Bondi and Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, both of whom were fired in March following criticism of their handling of the department. Last week, it was announced that Todd Lyons, the acting director of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, would be leaving his position at the end of May. This comes after a period of significant turnover within the administration, with over 90% of key positions outside of the Cabinet, a higher rate than previous presidents.
