The North Dakota Capitol was briefly evacuated after a person threatened to commit suicide on the grounds of the building, but the threat was resolved shortly before 6 p.m. The North Dakota Highway Patrol, Bismarck police, and other agencies secured a perimeter around the Capitol and restricted access to the grounds while officers worked towards a peaceful resolution.
