Apple has officially discontinued the Mac Pro, one of Apple's most iconic computers. The company also removed the product from its online store and announced its plans to shift from Intel processors to its own Apple Silicon chips. The Mac Pro was designed for professionals who needed uncompromising performance and was replaced by the new Studio Display XDR. Despite this, Apple's focus on the Studio lineup shifted towards the M3 Ultra and M4 Max, which outperformed both at a fraction of the price. Despite Apple's efforts to win back high-end users with a modular system for demanding workflows, the company failed. The move comes as Apple continues to refresh the rest of its desktop Mac lineup with newer and more efficient chips.
