Kratom law named after Chattanooga man now headed to governor's desk

A bill named "Matthew Davenport's Law" is headed to Governor Bill Lee's desk, which would ban the use, sale and distribution of kratom across the state. The bill would make kratom a class A misdemeanor, and selling, delivering or manufacturing it would be a class C felony. The Food and Drug Administration has issued a warning about using kratom for medical treatment and no approved kratom products in the US.
