Nebraska police fatally shot Noemi Guzman after she allegedly kidnapped a 3-year-old boy from a Walmart in Omaha with a large kitchen knife. The woman, later identified as Guzman, led the boy and his guardian out of the store at knifepoint and led them through the store before leading them to the parking lot. Despite multiple pleas from police to drop the knife, Guzman continued to threaten the boy with the knife and slashed him. The child was treated at a hospital for a large laceration and is expected to survive. The Omaha Police Department's Officer-Involved Investigations Team will investigate the incident.
