The Athletics defeated the White Sox 7-6 in an 11th-inning game, thanks to a sacrifice fly from third baseman Max Muncy off reliever Lucas Sims. Colson Montgomery and Andrew Benintendi both scored home runs in the second and third innings. The Sox's defense was poor, with Munetaka Murakami's fourth home run in as many days. Despite this, the Athletics managed to walk off the game with a win. Osman right-hander Osvaldo Bido and Prelander Berro were transferred from the 15-day injured list to the 60-day IL in addition to their respective 60 appearances. Luisangel Acuna had an 0-for-21 skid and his first extra-base hit in a Sox uniform.
