Ricardo Arjona, a Guatemalan singer/songwriter known for his complex wordsmith and multi-starred performances, has sold nearly 70,000 tickets in a single city during his “Lo Que Dijo El Seco” tour in Miami, which includes five sold-out shows at Kaseya Center. This is part of a multi-stop tour that includes arena stops in five other U.S. cities and three sold-outs at Coliseo de Puerto Rico. The tour will also include 13 dates at Movistar Arena in Buenos Aires, 10 in Santiago de Chile, and five in Bogotá. In his long career, dating back to the late 1990s, he has placed nine albums on the Billboard 200 and 23 on Billboard's Top Latin Albums, including 15 top 10s and five No. 1s. Despite not having a manager, manager, or agency in terms of touring, he maintains a tight control over his music and business. He has been criticized for his lack of mainstream acceptance and for his uncompromising approach to his music.
