Sacramento mother who was deported to Mexico despite DACA status returns home

Maria de Jesús Estrada Juárez, a Sacramento mother, was deported to Mexico last month after attending a scheduled green card appointment. Her attorney, Stacy Tolchin, argues that a 1998 removal order was never finalized and that the supervisory box was not checked. A lawsuit against the deportation was filed on March 10 and a court ordered Estradas to return to the United States within seven days. Estrados is now back in DACA status and her renewal is pending.
