Rockville-based company, Pirl Technology, has decided to shift its focus towards electric vehicle (EV) charging systems, following a successful bootstrapped development in its early years. The company's innovative approach to modular design allows users to upgrade components rather than replacing the entire unit. However, this comes at a challenging time as federal EV tax credits have been scrapped. Pirl secured $100,000 from TEDCO and took part in local accelerators, including the Maryland Energy Innovation Accelerator and Towson University’s StarTUp.
