Elias Rodrigues Dos Santos Mendes, a Brazilian national living in the United States illegally, has pleaded guilty to raping a Massachusetts woman and possessing child pornography. The crimes were committed while Dos Santos was living in Fall River, Massachusetts. The victim, an adult woman, had arrived in the US with her four children in 2024 and was introduced to the defendant, who allegedly persuaded her to take nude photos and videos of her daughter to sell them for money. After the rape, the victim reported the crime to the police and a DNA sample matched that of Dos Santos Mantes. The convicted felon will be subject to deportation when his sentence is concluded.
