San Antonio Airport not receiving ICE support amid TSA shutdown delays
Published on March 23, 2026.
President Donald Trump has announced that federal immigration agents will be deployed to some U.S. airports to assist with long security lines due to staffing shortages. This move comes as TSA officers continue working without pay, leading to hundreds of resignations and long wait times at security checkpoints nationwide. The White House border czar, Tom Homan, has been named to lead the new airport security effort.
