Michele Hundley Smith, a North Carolina mother who disappeared 24 years ago, was reunited with her daughter, Amanda Smith, following a successful search for her mother. Smith was reported missing in December 2001 at the age of 38 and was found alive and well in February following a tip. She was arrested days after her discovery on an outstanding order related to failing to appear in court 25 years ago. Smith indicated there were "domestic issues" and she left on her own accord. It is unclear why Smith left her life behind the previous year.
