Cameron Diaz To Star In 'Troop Beverly Hills' Sequel For TriStar Pictures

Cameron Diaz is set to star in a sequel to the 1980s cult comedy Troop Beverly Hills, directed by Clea DuVall. The film is currently being developed at TriStar Pictures with Lauren Mark (The Greatest Showman, Dreamgirls), Diaz and her business partner, Katherine Power, co-founded the organic wine brand Avaline. This marks Diaz's return to acting with Sony after over a decade away from acting. The sequel to Trooper Beverly Hills was released by Columbia Pictures in 1989.
