University Heights, Ohio, City Council voted to keep momentum moving towards construction of new police and fire stations in University Heights. The council approved an agreement with RFC Contracting to serve as the city's owner's representative during the design and construction phases of the project. The agreement was approved by a 6-1 vote, with Councilman Mark Wiseman opposing. The administration and City Council are seeking grants from several sources to stay within a $17 million budget for the two new facilities. RFC has agreed to be paid 1.8 percent of the cost of this project, if the project comes in at $17m, would be paid $306,000 if it ends up costing at least $22m.
