2 SRP election winners from opposing sides outline their priorities

The results of the SRP election have been announced, with the winning candidates speaking with Arizona's Family for the first time. The election, which determines the board that sets utility rates and energy policies for millions of Arizonans, saw four times higher than normal turnout. The main groups endorsing these candidates were the Clean Energy Team and Turning Point, which won the majority of seats on the board. Lupe Conchas will represent District 4 and Barry Paceley will be the vice president-elect. Both candidates emphasized affordability, reliability and water protection, while Paceley supported the acreage voting system, arguing that everyone benefits from the current 100-year-old system.
