Australian footballer Ante Suto, born and raised in Croatia, may become an Australia international with a strong chance of qualifying for the FIFA World Cup. The 25-year-old Hibernian striker, who was previously born in Croatia to a Melbourne-born father, could win his first cap in friendly matches against Cameroon and Curacao in Melbourne next week. Suto was previously watched by Socceroos boss Tony Popovic while playing for Croatian first division side Slaven Belupo before moving to Scotland where he has scored three goals in seven games. His brother, Deni Juric, is also a striker and touched down in Australia for the first time in 12 years earlier this week.
