2-Inch Hail Possible Sunday In Eastern PA As Severe Thunderstorms Threaten Area

The National Weather Service (NWS) has predicted that isolated to scattered storms across the region will be particularly dangerous, with the greatest threat between 4-10 p.m. Damaging winds and hail up to 2" in diameter are expected to be the main threats. Heavy rainfall could cause localized flash flooding along and north of Interstate 95, with some corridors potentially receiving over 1 inch of rainfall. The NWS also noted that potential instability is developing within the warm sector, particularly west of the area.
