The San Francisco Giants are set to open Major League Baseball's 2026 season against the New York Yankees at Oracle Park on Opening Day. Fans who aren't attending the game will need to subscribe to Netflix to watch, along with other streaming channels throughout the season. The game will be streamed globally in multiple languages and will feature play-by-play from sportscaster Matt Vasgersian, CC Sabathia, and former Giants star Hunter Pence. Barry Bonds is set to appear on the pre- and postgame broadcast team. This is part of a shift towards diversifying the viewing platforms for MLB games. Major Leagues have agreed to new three-year broadcast deals with Netflix and NBC/Peacock, while maintaining partnerships with Apple TV, Fox, ESPN, and TBS.
