Hollywood's top producers, including Jerry Bruckheimer and Charles Roven, have commented on the Paramount-Warner Bros. Discovery merger at the Producers Guild Awards. They believe that Paramount Skydance chairman and CEO David Ellison, who loves movies, will make a lot of movies and will take good care of Warner Bros. The merger was reached in a $110 billion deal after Netflix decided to abandon its bid for the studio. Despite the potential for the combined studios to release 30 movies a year, Bruckheim believes that Ellison's commitment to releasing 30 theatrical films a year could challenge this. Roven also expressed skepticism about the potential impact of the merger.
