Former Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) has criticized President Trump's demand that one of the two remaining candidates in the Texas Republican Senate primary, Sen. John Cornyn, or Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, must drop out of the runoff after receiving an endorsement. Greene argued that this could be the real reason the state's Senate seat flips blue. The National Republican Senatorial Committee has stated that Cornyn is the only Republican candidate consistently winning a general election matchup and that the state cannot afford to be a gamble in the midterms.
