He also expressed his wish for law enforcement to enforce the English proficiency requirements, stating that the Department of Transportation relies on state partners to enforce these laws. The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration Administrator Derek Barrs also announced steps to ensure certified truck drivers can pass the written and skills test in English.
