The Boring Company, a tunnel startup founded by Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk, has announced it has selected three major U.S. cities for its Tunnel Vision Challenge: a one-mile underground tunnel for use. The company plans to fund and build all three tunnels, if only one is deemed feasible. The projects involve building 12 to 14-foot diameter tunnels using high-speed electric transportation. Boring also plans to build tunnels in San Antonio and Hendersonville, Tennessee. So far, only one of the company's proposed Loop projects has been completed.
