Fort Worth Council Votes to Designate Historic Power Plant as 'Endangered'

The Fort Worth City Council has voted to designate the Fort Worth Power and Light Co. as a historically significant endangered structure. The designation is expected to preserve this part of the city's industrial past and stimulate interest from potential developers. The building was built in 1912 and is located near the Trinity River. It is believed that it could be used to generate electricity for homes, downtown buildings and the Stockyards.
