Convicted Lincoln double homicide defendant files for new trial

Christopher Johnson, convicted of murdering two people in a 1999 shooting outside a Lincoln strip club, has filed for a new trial in the case. The charges stem from a May shooting outside The Office that resulted in the deaths of 39-year-old Carlos Silva and 40-years-old Terrell Jones. Johnson has requested a three-judge panel to handle the aggravating factors of the case, citing the fact that he waived his right to have a jury determine aggravating circumstances.
