Fayetteville man, J'Quan Fitzgerald, was arrested following a high-speed pursuit involving a stolen vehicle. During the chase, Fitzgerald allegedly fired shots at pursuing officers from inside the vehicle, before throwing a firearm from the window and crashing into an embankment. The discarded firearm was found with a firearm switch, an illegal modification that allows a gun to fire. Fitzgerald was already wanted by the Fayetteville Police Department on multiple charges, including robbery, second-degree kidnapping, and felony possession of a weapon of mass destruction. No officers were injured during the incident.
