Former Louisiana mayor Misty Roberts is accused of having sex with her son's underage friend during a party. Her children have claimed they witnessed the alleged encounter during the party. Roberts was initially arrested in August 2024 on charges of third-degree rape and contributing to the delinquency of juveniles. She was rearraigned in 2026 on charges related to carnal knowledge of a juvenile and indecent behavior with a juvenile. An interview with Roberts’ son from 2025 was shown in court, where he claimed he witnessed his mother having sexual intercourse with his friend using a crack in a window. Prosecutors also revealed text exchanges between Roberts and her son allegedly discussing the alcohol the kids desired for the party, and witness testimony from a DoorDash delivery driver who claimed to have delivered Plan B to Roberts' door shortly after her alleged sexual encounter.
