Pima County Department of Environmental Quality has served Ames Construction with a Notice of Violation for violating its fugitive dust permit. The citation was issued following inspections at the Project Blue site on May 8 and 11. State law allows for fines up to $10,000 per day for violations of the permit. This comes after the City of Tucson cut off the site’s water supply, claiming that Ames had been misusing it.
