A Polish regional court has ordered former Polish Justice Minister and Prosecutor General Zbigniew Ziobro to apologize to Oscar-nominated director Agnieszka Holland for his statements about "Green Border". The film depicts the plight of refugees stranded on the Belarus-Poland border and led to Holland fearing for her safety. Holland filed a lawsuit against him in September 2023 after he wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter) that compared her and the film 'Green Border' to the activities of propagandists of the Third Reich and Stalinism. The court ordered Ziobobro's apology and ordered him to donate 50,000 PLN to the Association of the Children of the Holocaust. This is another setback for Ziobo, who is already facing charges for embezzling millions of millions of dollars in Poland and authorizing the use of spywareware to purchase phones of political opponents.
