Per Berthelsen, a Greenland politician and founder of the island's governing party, was confronted by Jørgen Boassen, a prominent local face of the MAGA movement, who has ties to the White House and has been instrumental in promoting Donald Trump's plan to take over Greenland. This incident sparked fury among Greenland's governing coalition after Boassan's aggressive behavior and tactics were mentioned on social media. The group, some of whom have a history of physical and verbal assaults, also includes a former U.S. special forces officer, a man who contributed to Project 2025, the policy blueprint for Trump's second term, and an American chainsaw artist and biker who advised Kristi Noem during her time as Homeland Security Secretary.
