Bournemouth's owners, Black Knight Football Club, are planning to expand into rugby union with a potential takeover of Exeter Chiefs. The move is pending a vote by Exeter's members at an extraordinary general meeting in May. Black Knight already owns Bournemouth, Auckland FC, and stakes in Scotland's Hibernian and France's FC Lorient. The deal follows a flurry of fresh investment in the English domestic game, with British entrepreneur Sir James Dyson and Red Bull already taking over Newcastle.
