Meta To Limit PG-13 References For Instagram Teen In Agreement With MPA

The Motion Picture Association (MPA) has agreed to reduce references to the PG-13 film rating for Instagram Teen Accounts in an agreement to clarify its use of this rating. The agreement was made in response to concerns over youth engagement on the platform. Meta had previously appropriated the 60-year-old moniker last fall to reassure parents of their concerns about youth engagement. The terms of the agreement will take effect April 15.
