She recommends a five-minute dynamic walking warmup, which includes six controlled movements. These movements loosen up the hips, reduce stiffness in the lower back and strengthen the glutes, core and inner thighs. In addition, these exercises also engage the core muscles and help maintain balance, stability and proper walking mechanics.
