Anti-violence activists have taken action following a shooting at a Minneapolis Popeye's that left four teenage boys injured. The suspect is still at large. Community activist KG Wilson, whose granddaughter was fatally shot in 2021, expressed concern over the potential for retaliation against the shooters. Muhammad Abdul-Ahad, executive director of TOUCH Outreach, plans to coordinate with Minneapolis police to deploy safety patrols along the Lake Street corridor. All three of the injured teens have non-life-threatening injuries. The shooting is currently an ongoing investigation by Minneapolis police.
