Elijah Sembrano, Gilberto Martinez, Luis Trejo, and Julian Corral were cast as extras in "One Battle After Another", a critically acclaimed film that also has strong ties to the Borderland. The film was filmed in downtown El Paso, but cast multiple El Pasoans as extras. The skaters were introduced to the cast through a mutual friend who knew of a filming opportunity downtown. They met with casting director Cassandra Kulukundis for a quick audition before getting the roles. Martinez had the most prominent role with multiple speaking parts and interacted with Leonardo DiCaprio, Bencio del Toro, and Paul Thomas Anderson throughout his screen time. The group was only filming for 11 days in summer of 2024.
