The video, which has been viewed over 358,000 times, shows people outside the store looking for shelter while the doors remain closed. OnCeue President Laura Aufleger stated that the company's severe weather protocol directs employees to allow all customers inside and outside of the store a place of refuge. She also addressed confusion about OnCee's participation in the National Safe Place program, which is often mistaken for public storm shelters. The controversy comes as storm season increases with four deaths related to tornadoes reported in the past week.
