Film and TV producer Matt Zien, who co-founded KNGMKR Labs and released "Degen," a 12-minute film about loneliness in a dystopian future, uses artificial intelligence to create the film. The cost to make Degen was in the low thousands of dollars compared to traditional production costs of millions. Zien explains that the creative process involves creating synthetic beings from hundreds of them and combining them with their own voice choices. He predicts that by the end of 2024, any movie can be made using these tools. Despite some skepticism, Zien believes AI-generated content will become more accessible and more accessible. He also anticipates an avalanche of content-based algorithms in the future.
