In March 2026, videos were shared online claiming to show late Jeffrey Epstein, a late sex offender, driving around in Florida with a look-alike named "Palm Beach Pete". The clips featured a man identified as Epstein wearing sunglasses and a backward white baseball cap, while driving a convertible with the top down. Some users believed the videos were authentic and that Epstein was alive. However, a man calling himself "Peter" (referred to as "Peter) announced on social media that he was the driver of the car. Peter responded by posting a video on the newly-created X account @not_jeffepstein. He also created similar accounts on Instagram and TikTok. Despite an autopsy report stating that Epstein died on Aug. 10, 2019, but rumors have surfaced that he is still alive.
