Colorectal cancer breakthroughs: Early detection through AI, drug-chemotherapy combination

New developments in colorectal cancer research have led to the promise of revolutionizing healthcare for future patients and extending their lives. The benefits of regular exercise, combining two cancer drugs with chemotherapy, and using AI to screen blood for signs of coloresculiasis are among the latest developments. The American Cancer Society predicts that by 2026, there will be nearly 159,000 new cases in the US, or the equivalent of 440 diagnoses each day. A recent study suggests that a blood test powered by artificial intelligence could detect colorescinos earlier, potentially improving survival rates. The results of the CHALLENGE Trial were published in the New England Journal of Medicine.
