Eagle rescued in Truckee is euthanized due to lung disease

An eagle that was rescued from the ground in Truckee, California, has been euthanised due to progressive lung disease. The bird was initially unable to fly and was transferred to a facility specifically designed to assist with its care. The disease made it too difficult for the eagle to maintain.
